While this article is specifically about increasing your chances of successfully losing weight the principles outlined can be used to boost your success in any area of your life.
Increase the Chances of Your Success
Sometimes I think my life is run by lists. I use them for everything from what to pick up at the grocery store to Christmas Ideas for the kids to things to get done today to things I want to accomplish or work on. The other day I was cleaning off my desk and I came across several of these lists that i had made over the last few weeks.
The items on the grocery store list were crossed out, the Christmas ideas were highlighted and my to do list was checked off. The strange thing was the one list that matter more than the others is the “Things to Accomplish” didn’t have any indication on it that I had even thought about it since I had written it. Which really got me thinking…. Why was I so good at using lists to manage the small things, but so poorly when using them to manage my goals?
After spending some time going through GOOGLE, I discovered that most resolutions were never completed and most people who even bothered setting goals didn’t have a great track record reaching their goals. There was one method of goal setting that kept popping up, called SMART goals. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time Bound.
The idea is to be as specific as possible. Vague goals are no goals at all. Instead of “I want to lose around 20 kilograms over the next few moths or so”, state your goal like this ” I will lose 20 kilograms in the next sixty days; to accomplish this I will use the HCG Injections or HCG drops.
The objective to writing down your goals is to create a mental image of yourself after the goal has been achieved. You want to capture not only what you will look like after achieving your goal, but how losing the weight will make you feel and the difference it will make in your life. The more details you write down, the more specific you are in your goals the clearer of a mental image you create. Find an old picture of yourself when you weighed your ideal weight. If you don’t have a picture then find a pair of jeans that will fit you after your goal is met. These visual aids will help in making the mental image even clearer to your sub-conscious.
When your goal is to lose weight this is an easy one. But I would challenge you to not only record you weight loss but also take the time to record a food journal. A food journal is essential in making sure you stick to your protocol.
Think realistic. Is it realistic for you to set a goal to lose 20 kilograms in a week? How about a month? Even with a diet as awesome as our HCG injections or HCG Drops, that is an unrealistic goal. If you goals are not attainable, then you are just setting yourself up for failure.
How important is this goal to you? Will it make a significant difference in your life? During every journey challenges will come up. The bigger the impact of meeting your goal has on your life, the bigger challenge you will be able to overcome. Always remember your WHY.
Your goal must have an expiration date. The time frame matters. Having an open ended goal such as “I will lose 50 pounds” is not nearly as strong as “I will lose 20 kilograms in the next six months”.
Ok, so this one doesn’t fit into our SMART acronym. But I strongly believe that getting yourself an accountability partner or belonging to a group that will keep you accountable greatly increases your chances of success. Plus going through something like OUR HCG with a buddy or in group makes the experience much more enjoyable.
